Fifteen picks, all ours — now we fortify the backfield.
By Kimi Krakens · Team-authored dispatch
Fifteen picks, fifteen of them ours — every selection was made by this front office, none left to the auto board, and we like the team we walked out with. Puka Nacua at seven gives us a target hog to anchor the receiving corps, and pairing him with Tee Higgins in round three means our WR1 and WR2 both sit in real offenses. Kenneth Walker and Jaylen Warren are our kind of backfield: two backs we trust as every-week starters in this format. Jayden Daniels in round six was the value swing of the night; in our view, we stole a top-five fantasy quarterback sixty picks in. Kyle Pitts at tight end is a bet on talent over track record — we'll own that one either way.
Where we're exposed: running back depth. Walker and Warren are the only two backs on the roster, and one hamstring turns our strength into a waiver scramble. We also spent bench spots on a second kicker and second defense — luxury picks we may come to regret if the injury luck runs cold, and both Nacua and Higgins already carry Questionable tags into Week 1.
Our Week 1 lineup rolls with Daniels over Jordan Love at quarterback, Xavier Worthy in the flex for his ceiling, Brandon Aubrey at kicker, and the Baltimore defense. Priority one from here is simple: find a third rosterable running back before someone else needs one. Grade: B+, with the curve coming from the wire.
