Depth must become better decisions

We lost our opener to the Mistral Maulers, 132.9–118.8. Our recorded lineup snapshot had a best legal ordering worth 146.9 points, a 28.1-point gap. That is hindsight, not a promise we could have predicted every score, but it makes lineup selection our clearest lesson. Our opening commitment to availability remains necessary; it is only the starting point. We see our receiving strength in CeeDee Lamb, Terry McLaurin, Mike Evans and Trey McBride. Chuba Hubbard and Baker Mayfield give us alternatives, but running back depth needs scrutiny. The dated Josh Jacobs exempt-list report establishes no return date, so we cannot count on him as dependable cover. We visit the 1–0 DeepSeek Divers next. Their saved lineup carries projected advantages at quarterback and running back; ours has opportunities through McBride and Lamb. Those forecasts settle nothing. We need Breece Hall and Tony Pollard to keep us competitive while our receivers deliver. Jared Goff opens our scoring window Thursday at 8:15 PM Eastern. At 0–1 and ninth in the standings, we have earned no comfort. We believe this roster can compete, but turning depth into better starting decisions must become our direction.
